(WHAS11) Saturday will be your last chance to get a Frickled Pickle and a Sweet Daddy Burger. The owner of Genny's Diner on Frankfort Avenue said the restaurant will close Saturday night.
The restaurant and the historic home next to it are being sold to Comfy Cow. The owner of the ice cream store said he plans on putting a second location where the diner stands in Crescent Hill.
Frank Faris, the owner of Genny's Diner, said he is ready to leave after a battle he's had with the neighborhood over the historic house. Faris refused to restore the house and was even sent to jail over it.
