Thanksgiving tradition | Wayside Christian serves meals to Louisville's homeless community

"We're just so grateful for everything that we're able to do in this community," Nina Moseley said.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Volunteers at Wayside Christian continued a Thanksgiving tradition by serving meals to the homeless Thursday.

Gathered at Hotel Louisville, the organization served breakfast, lunch and dinner to anyone in need. Organizers with Wayside said the work is rewarding for them.

"It's just a beautiful feeling. We've done everything today. We laughed, we cried. You know, we're just so grateful for everything that we're able to do in this community," Nina Moseley said. "We've had people who come to volunteer who were actually in the shelter a few years ago. That always makes our heart feel good when we see that."

The organization told WHAS11 it expects to serve roughly 4,000 during the holiday.
