LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A west Louisville youth football team headed to the national stage and hoping to become champions.
The Tenth Street Cardinals 10U team will represent their community at the 2024 D1 Nation National Youth Football Championship in Dallas, Texas.
The team is looking for community support to help make their journey possible.
“Our goal is to teach these kids the value of earning success through dedication,” Coach Thomas Jackson said in a statement. “This isn’t just about football; it’s about preparing them for life and showing them they can achieve anything with the right mindset.”
The team uses the mantra “FLOCC” – Future Leaders Out Changing Communities which teaches players teamwork, discipline and community building.
With many of the players from underserved communities, the Tenth Street Cardinals are hoping to make this a life-changing experience for them.
The D1 Nation National Youth Football Championship will be held from Dec. 12 through Dec. 16.
