1 dead, 1 injured after Algonquin neighborhood shooting

LMPD officials say they aren't yet sure how old the victim who died at the scene was.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person is dead and another is injured after they were shot early Thursday morning in the Algonquin neighborhood.

At about 1:15 a.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of Brashear Drive, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found two male victims who had been shot multiple times. Officers provided medical attention to both victims along with EMS.

One victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigators say they aren't sure how old he is.

The second victim was taken to UofL Hospital where authorities say he is expected to survive.
