LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – No arrests have been made in the deadly shooting that happened in the Algonquin neighborhood.
LMPD says that they found 62-year-old Clifford Wright shot to death on Friday night, in an empty lot on the corner of 28th and Dixdale Avenue.
Wright was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:43 p.m.
Police say that he was shot several times and was found with gunshot wounds near his torso.
Neighbors said they heard about five gunshots. They also mentioned that the empty lot where Wright was found is often used as a way to cut through the neighborhood, to get to stores on the other side.
Police say it's still unclear why Wright was in this area.
