LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Metro Police are investigating after an 8-year-old was one of two people shot in an apparent drive-by shooting in the Southside neighborhood.
Police said the incident happened in the 100 block of Kingston Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Officers found the 8-year-old boy and a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Metro Police believe the shooting stemmed from a drive by shooting. No other details were immediately available.
The 8-year-old was taken to Norton Children’s Hospital while the man was taken to an area hospital. Both of their injuries are non-life threatening.
It’s unclear if the man and child are related.
