LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police is investigating the fatal shooting of a 13 year old that happened in the Chickasaw neighborhood late Wednesday night.
The coroner's office identified him as Daviawn Blackmon.
Louisville Metro Police said officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of South 38th Street around 10:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, police said they found Blackmon suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating. There are currently no known suspects.
