LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man accused in a Missouri homicide has been arrested in Louisville.
David Wayne Sharp, 58, was taken into custody early Saturday.
Authorities said Sharp was wanted in connection with that homicide on Wild Turkey Road in Middlebrook, Missouri that happened on Jan. 25. Middlebrook is about an hour south of St. Louis.
Police said the victim’s brother, 65-year-old Derl Sharp, was found dead inside the residence.
Metro Police confirmed Sharp had been arrested in Louisville at a motel using the SWAT and Fugitive Unit. Sharp was apprehended “without incident.”
A vehicle Missouri authorities was also recovered.
Sharp has been charged with first degree murder, armed criminal action and stealing of a motor vehicle.
It’s unclear when he will be extradited back to Missouri.
Sharp is being held at Metro Corrections.
