Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - A former ambulance driver is sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter.
'There's no words...I do want to apologize to them,' said Tammy Brewer in court.
37-year-old Tammy Brewer was charged with murder last April.
She pled guilty to manslaughter, assault and wanton endangerment for crashing an ambulance and killing the patient, Vickie Whobrey.
A drug test showed that Brewer had methadone in her system the night she crashed the ambulance.
The victim's daughter made an emotional statement in court.
