LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A former southern Indiana car dealership employee is facing charges after authorities say he stole over $200,000 in company funds.

The Indiana State Police Organized Crime and Corruption Unit opened an investigation in August into Jon Ryan Blakely, who worked as the general manager at Coyle Chevrolet in Clarksville. It was alleged that Blakely illegally transferred funds from a company credit card to accounts owned and controlled by himself over a one-year period.

The dealership issued the card to Blakely, but the card was only to be used for business dealings with vehicle wholesalers.

The investigation included examining bank and PayPal accounts, as well as business and email records. Authorities say Blakely transferred over $200,000 in funds to personal accounts. This information was turned over to the Clark County Prosecutor's Office for review and possible charges.

On Dec. 1, an arrest warrant was issued for one count of theft and one count of corrupt business practices. Both charges are felonies.

The warrant was served the same day and officers from the Clark County Sheriff's Department arrested Blakely without incident.

He was remanded into the Clark County Jail.
