LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Editor's note: the above video was published last week and is regarding a drug bust in Louisville.
Two southern Indiana residents were arrested last week and charged with dealing methamphetamine.
A three-month investigation was led by the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section, Master Trooper Trey Lytton, Spencer County Sheriff's Office and Perry County Sheriff's Office. Arrest warrants were issued for Austin Adkisson, 36, and Justine Hayden, 32.
On Jan. 10, Lytton and the Spencer County Sheriff's Office located Adkisson on State Rt. 66 near Rockport and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in which he was a passenger. Adkisson was arrested without incident and taken to the Spencer County Jail.
Officers then located Hayden at her residence in Chrisney and she was taken into custody.
Officers found probable cause of drug activity inside the apartment and obtained a search warrant. Officers found 103 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales, paraphernalia and a controlled substance, according to a news release.
Hayden was also taken to the Spencer County Jail. Both suspects are being held without bond.
Adkisson is charged with:
- Dealing in Methamphetamine over 10 grams - Level 2 Felony.
- Possession of Methamphetamine over 28 grams - Level 3 Felony.
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance - Level 6 Felony.
- Possession of a Controlled Substance - Class A Misdemeanor.
- Possession of Marijuana - Class B Misdemeanor.
- Possession of Paraphernalia - Class C Misdemeanor.
- Warrant: Dealing in Methamphetamine over 10 Grams - Level 2 Felony (2 Counts).
Hayden is charged with:
- Dealing in Methamphetamine over 10 grams - Level 2 Felony.
- Possession of Methamphetamine over 28 grams - Level 3 Felony.
- Maintaining a Common Nuisance - Level 6 Felony.
- Possession of a Controlled Substance - Class A Misdemeanor.
- Possession of Marijuana - Class B Misdemeanor.
- Possession of Paraphernalia - Class C Misdemeanor.
- Warrant: Dealing in Methamphetamine over 10 Grams - Level 2 Felony (1 Count).
