Juvenile dies in hospital more than a week after shooting during PRP football game

Two juveniles were shot during a high school football game nine days ago. No arrests have been made.
According to LMPD, 22-year-old Damon Williams is facing charges and is accused of taking part in the shooting in the PRP High parking lot Sunday night.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A juvenile who was injured in a shooting during a high school football game in Louisville died in the hospital early Tuesday morning, nine days after the shooting occurred.

The shooting happened during a makeup game between PRP and Male High School on Sunday, Sept. 29 at PRP High School. It had been rescheduled due to weather.

Two juveniles were shot during the game. One victim was found by police with multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Nine days later, he died in the hospital.

The other victim was taken to University of Louisville's Mary and Elizabeth Hospital with gunshot wounds. LMPD officials say they are expected to survive their injuries.

LMPD's Homicide Unit continues to investigate. Officials said they have no new updates and no arrests have yet been made.
