LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting of a juvenile that happened in Portland Thursday afternoon.
Louisville Metro Police said officers were dispatched to the 600 block of North 23rd Street just before 5:50 p.m. on reports of a person down.
When officers arrived, investigators said they found the juvenile who had been shot several times.
Despite the officers’ life-saving efforts, the juvenile died at the scene police said.
Investigators blocked Northwestern Parkway between Carter and 24th Street while they investigated.
