LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – Katina Powell was arrested on May 17, the Louisville Metro Police Department said, for criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft by deception.
The arrest comes after a victim reported stolen business checks had been cashed at various locations, according to LMPD. She was arrested by LMPD just moments after leaving court for an eviction hearing on Thursday.
Powell came out two years ago with her book Breaking Cardinal Rules, that detailed strippers and escorts at UofL's Minardi Hall Dorm for men's basketball recruits and players from 2010 to 2014. It ultimately led to the NCAA taking away the 2013 championship.

Powell was cited earlier in 2018 for shoplifting at a Louisville Walmart.

In Thursday’s hearing, a judge ordered Powell to vacate her Louisville home.
Powell was arraigned on the criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft by deception charges on Friday, May 18, and she pleaded not guilty. She was then released from jail.
