LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Kentucky man has been arrested after shooting his mother and grandmother in Wayne County.
According to Kentucky State Police, 25-year-old Chase Jackson got into an argument with his mother, 50-year-old Audrey Jackson and his grandmother 94-year-old Savana Brock on Winchester Road in Monticello Saturday night.
Police said Jackson allegedly fired a gun inside the home which his mother and grandmother.
As soon as help arrived at the scene, Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy began performing life saving measures on both victims. They were taken to the airport where they were airlifted to University of Kentucky’s Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington. The two women are listed in critical condition.
Jackson had left the scene of the shooting but was found walking along Highway 90 and was taken into custody by police.
He is facing two counts of attempted murder and two counts of assault.
Jackson is currently being held at the Wayne County Detention Center.
Monticello is about 179 miles south of Louisville.
