LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police have made an arrest in a fatal shooting that happened on Baxter Avenue in the Original Highlands over the weekend.
Richie Williams, 37, is charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a prohibited person.
LMPD said their Fugitive Unit, Homicide Unit, Air Unit, SWAT and the Shively Police Department helped in the arrest on Thursday.
He is charged for the fatal shooting that happened in the 900 block of Baxter Avenue; authorities said the shooting that happened in the 900 block of Morton Avenue is separate and that case is still on-going.
Both 20-year-old Michael Bachelor Jr. and 29-year-old Montay Wade were killed that night and another person was injured.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning.
