LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) is investigating after a shooting in the Beechmont neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
According to LMPD, the shooting happened around noon near Third Street and Woodlawn Avenue.
When officers with the department's Fourth Division arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital and is expected to survive.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
