LMPD Mjr. Emily McKinley said most of the cars at the Frankfort Avenue impound lot aren't eligible to be auctioned.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Suspect(s) have stolen four vehicles from Louisville Metro Police Department's (LMPD) impound lot, according to the department.

The suspect(s) allegedly cut a hole in the fencing and that's how they got into the lot.

LMPD said the vehicles were stolen sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning, with one of the stolen vehicles already recovered.

"Metro Facilities has repaired the damage and additional measures are being taken to hopefully prevent this incident from happening again," LMPD Spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.

It's unclear which vehicles were stolen, or what make and model they were, as well as whether any arrests have been made or if the suspects have been identified.

There is no additional information available at this time.

This is an open and active investigation.
