LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two men were found shot outside of a business on Dixie Highway early Saturday morning.
Officers with Louisville Metro Police's Second Division responded to a report of a shooting in the 1600 block of Dixie Highway around 5 a.m.
At the scene, police found two men outside suffering from gunshot wounds.
LMPD said responding officers immediately began giving the men First Aid until EMS arrived. They were later taken to the University of Louisville Hospital.
Authorities said one of the men is in critical condition and the other is expected to survive his injuries and make a full recovery.
Due to one of the men being in critical condition, LMPD’s Homicide Unit is handling this shooting incident as a critical assault.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit investigation is ongoing. Police said detectives are canvassing the area, but there are no known suspects.
