LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police are investigating after a man suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at the hospital by "private means" on Christmas Eve.
Around 2 p.m., Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) responded to a call for service on a report of a shooting in the 3100 block of S. 2nd street in a business parking lot, according to an LMPD news release.
Upon arrival, officers said they found a scene but no victim. A short time later, LMPD’s First Division was advised of a man that arrived by "private means" to Jewish Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
EMS transported the victim who was alert and conscious to UofL Hospital. Officials believe the man will survive. His identity is unknown at this time.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling this investigating. Investigators said all parties are accounted for.
