Police looking for murder suspect who allegedly shot, killed man in west Louisville

LMPD believes Lamarr Jones shot and killed a man at the intersection of South 26th Street and West Market Street back in August.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police are actively searching for a murder suspect in Louisville who is believed to be "armed and dangerous." 

Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers responded to the intersection of South 26th Street and West Market Street on a report of a shooting on Aug. 15.

Upon arrival, officers found Terrez Cureton suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to UofL Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Investigators believe his suspected murderer, Lamarr Jones, shot him with a handgun and killed him.

Jones is wanted for murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Police advise if you see him, do not approach and instead call 911.
