LMPD: Man admitted to Louisville hospital with gunshot wounds

Investigators believe the victim was shot in the Park Duvalle neighborhood before he was taken to the hospital by private means.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is in the hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after a shooting Wednesday night in the Park Duvalle neighborhood.

At about 7:15 p.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 1700 block of Cypress Street, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers located the scene where it was obvious a shooting had occurred, but there was no victim.

Shortly after, officers were notified that a man who had been shot had been taken to UofL Hospital by private means. Authorities say he is expected to survive.

Investigators believe the victim was involved in the shooting that occurred on Cyprus Street.

The LMPD Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating. There are no known suspects.
