LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) is investigating after a teen was fatally shot in the Parkland neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities said LMPD Second Division officers responded to a report of a shooting near 28th Street and Garland Avenue around 4 p.m. Officers then found teenager suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 17-year-old Shawn'tae'veion Bullitt.
Bullitt was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police said there are no suspects at this time, however LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating.
