Coroner identifies man who died in Louisville shooting, no known suspects

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in west Louisville and need the public's help.

Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) said Second Division officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1800 block of Cypress Street, which is between the Park Duvalle and Algonquin neighborhoods, around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Officers found 19-year-old D'Andre Jenkins suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene. According to LMPD, he died despite attempts at life-saving measures.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation, however police said they need the public's help.

There are no known suspects at this time and LMPD is urging anyone with any information to call the department's anonymous crime tip line at 502-574-LMPD (5673). Reports can also be made online, by clicking here.
