LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is in the hospital with serious injuries after being shot Friday night.
Louisville Metro Police said they responded to reports of a shooting in the 3700 block of Lentz Avenue a little after 10 p.m. That's in the Jacobs neighborhood.
When they got there, investigators said officers found a man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said the man was "conscious and alert" at the scene and taken to the hospital. Investigators said they consulted with medical professionals, and it was determined that while the man does have serious injuries, he is expected to survive.
The Non-Fatal Shooting Squad is handling the investigation.
