LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police is investigating a fatal shooting that happened in the Park Hill neighborhood Monday evening.
LMPD said they were called to to the 2100 block of Dumesnil Street around 8:10 p.m. on a report of a shooting.
When they arrived, police said they found a man and woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers rendered aid until EMS and fire responded to the scene; investigators said EMS transported them to the hospital where the woman later died.
The man went into surgery, but right now his condition is unknown.
Authorities said they're working to determine a motive and what led up to the shooting.
