LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man has been charged with murder days after a fatal shooting outside a liquor store in the Jacobs neighborhood last Sunday.
Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) found 44-year-old Tyrell Miller fatally shot on Henry Avenue around 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10.
Authorities believe Miller was shot outside Bloom Liquor Store on Taylor Boulevard and he walked three blocks before collapsing from his injuries.
On Monday, LMPD said 35-year-old Jervon Woodson was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 17. He has been charged with murder.
According to Woodson's arrest citation, surveillance video of the shooting showed him raise a handgun to Miller and shoot him after a verbal altercation.
LMPD released photos of the suspect captured in the video and police later received a tip regarding his identity.
An officer reviewed video from an earlier incident involving Woodson and compared it to the surveillance video and both appeared to match, the citation said.
Woodson was arrested Sunday on an unrelated warrant and identified as the shooter in the incident outside the liquor store.
He was arraigned Monday morning and given a $500,000 cash bond. His next court hearing is Nov. 26.
