Louisville police investigating after man found shot in Portland neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man was hospitalized Friday morning after he was shot in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.

At about 5:15 a.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 2000 block of Lytle Place, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to UofL Hospital where officials expect him to survive.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling this investigation. Police officials say there is no suspect information to release.
