LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man was arrested Wednesday after authorities believe he shot and killed a woman and threw her body into the Ohio River.

At about 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Shively Police Department requested that Louisville Metro Police Department respond to Cox's Park to look for a possible homicide victim in the river, according to his arrest citation.
LMPD officers on scene found a woman with a fatal gunshot wound to the head facedown in the water. The victim was identified as 53-year-old Arica Brown.
