LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man was arrested in Maryland on Wednesday after a woman was found shot to death in Louisville's Southland Park neighborhood the day prior.
Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) responded to the 6400 block of Kenjoy Drive on Monday to check the welfare of a woman. Officers said they didn't make contact and ultimately filed a missing person report.
The next day, detectives went back to the same home and found the woman fatally shot. Her identity is currently unknown.
It's unclear at this time if the woman was dead at the time of the first visit.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit responded and investigated the death, which resulted in a murder warrant being issued.
On Wednesday, police said 41-year-old Tho Luong was arrested and charged with murder by Maryland State Police.
