Drug bust: Kentucky man arrested after police find 2 pounds of crystal meth, other drugs

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Campbellsville man was arrested in Nelson County over the weekend after police say he was found with two pounds of crystal methamphetamine.

A Nelson County sheriff's deputy observed a vehicle just past midnight Sunday traveling on Highway 245 with expired tags. The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle after the officer observed the small of marijuana and a glass pipe, according a Nelson County Sheriff's Department news release.

Several items were confiscated during a search, including a baggie of suspected fentanyl and heroin, a bag of suspected crack cocaine and two pounds of suspected crystal methamphetamine.

The driver, Nicholas Underwood, 45, was charged with the following:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance - 1st degree over 2 grams methamphetamine.
  • Trafficking 1st offense fentanyl.
  • Possession of marijuana.
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Possession of a controlled substance - 1st degree cocaine.
