Louisville man receives fatal injuries in California neighborhood shooting, police say

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man received fatal injuries in a shooting in the California neighborhood early Sunday morning.

Around 4 a.m., Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) said they responded to reports of a shooting in the 2500 block of West Broadway. 

When they got there, investigators said officers found 37-year-old Ronald Batey shot. He received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. 

The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating. 

There are no suspect(s) at this time.
