LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is dead after he was shot early Monday morning in the Algonquin neighborhood.
At about 12:30 a.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting on Dixie Highway at West Lee Street, according to an LMPD news release.
Officers on scene found a man who had been shot. He was taken to UofL Hospital where he died shortly after his arrival.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating. There are currently no known suspects.
