Coroner ID's victim found shot inside west Louisville home

Officers found a man inside a Louisville residence suffering from gunshot wounds Tuesday morning.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is dead after he was found shot inside a west Louisville residence Tuesday morning.

At about 1:50 a.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of Esquire Alley, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers found a man inside a residence suffering from gunshot wounds and rendered first aid until EMS could arrive. Once on scene, EMS pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

The coroner's office identified the man as 34-year-old Stephan Adams.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation. There are no suspects.
