LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man was found shot in the leg in the Portland neighborhood early Saturday morning.
Officers with Louisville Metro Police's First Division responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of N. 32nd Street around 5 a.m.
At the scene, police found a man outside suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
LMPD said responding officers immediately began giving the man First Aid until EMS arrived. The man was later taken to the University of Louisville Hospital.
Authorities said the man is expected to survive his injuries.
The department's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation, which remains ongoing at this time. Police said detectives are canvassing the area, but there are no known suspects.
