Man hospitalized after being shot in the leg in Shelby Park neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is in the hospital after he was shot Saturday night in Louisville's Shelby Park neighborhood.

Just before 11 p.m., Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) responded to a shooting in the area of Brook Street and E. Burnett Avenue bear Burger Boy, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to UofL Hospital. Officials say they expect him to survive.

LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation. Detectives are canvassing the area. There are no known suspect(s) at this time.
