LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A man has died after being shot by police Wednesday night.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said 42-year-old Isaac Jackson died of gunshot wounds.
According to police, officers received a call about a disturbance in the 400 block of N 42nd Street. When officers arrived at the home, they entered to find the suspect, Jackson, armed with multiple knives.
Jackson reportedly attacked the officers, injuring one of them with a knife. Another officer fired and struck Jackson, killing him.
The injured officer was taken to the hospital. The extent of his injuries is unknown and he has not been identified.
The incident is under investigation.
