LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man sustained serious injuries during a fight Tuesday morning in Louisville's Newburg neighborhood.
Louisville Metro police 6th Division officers responded to the 4300 block of Shady Villa Drive just before 10:15 for an assault call. Callers said two men were involved in a physical altercation at that location.
One male was transported to the hospital with "critical injuries," according to an LMPD news release. One person of interest was detained.
LMPD's homicide unit is investigating due to the severity of the man's injuries.
