Man found shot in Clifton Heights neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is in the hospital with a gunshot wound after a shooting Wednesday morning in Louisville's Clifton Heights neighborhood.

At about 6 a.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 2000 block of Brownsboro Road, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found a man who had been shot in the shoulder and rendered first aid until EMS could arrive.

Once on scene, EMS transported the victim to UofL Hospital. Authorities say he was alert and conscious during transport and officials expect him to survive.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation. There are no known suspects.
