LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man was shot and killed late Monday night in Louisville's Portland neighborhood.
Louisville Metro Police responded to the area of 20th and Lytle streets about 11 p.m. for a report of a person down. Officers located an adult male in the back of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim dead.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the man as 31-year-old Stepphon Garner.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating this incident. Detectives canvassed the area.
