Police: Man shot, killed in South Louisville

Officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds Wednesday morning. He was pronounced dead shortly after.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is dead after he was shot multiple times Wednesday morning in South Louisville.

At about 1:20 a.m., Louisville Metro Police responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Iowa Avenue, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found a man outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services pronounced the man dead shortly after their arrival.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling this investigation. There are currently no known suspects.
