Louisville Police: Man shot in Valley Station Friday morning

LMPD's Domestic Violence Unit is investigating after a man was found shot in the arm in Louisville.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is in the hospital after he was shot on Friday morning in Louisville's Valley Station neighborhood.

At about 5 a.m., Louisville Metro Police responded to a shooting in the 4700 block of Francell Court, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found a man outside with a gunshot wound to his arm. Police officers rendered first aid until Emergency Medical Services could arrive.

The victim was transported to UofL Hospital. According to officials, he was alert and conscious and is expected to survive.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit and LMPD's Domestic Violence Unit are handling the investigation. All parties involved in this incident are accounted for, authorities say.
