LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is in the hospital after he was found shot inside a west Louisville home Tuesday morning.
At about 5 a.m., Louisville Metro Police responded to a shooting in the 4200 block of Greenwood Avenue, according to an LMPD news release.
Officers on scene found a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside the home and rendered first aid until EMS could arrive on scene.
Once on scene, EMS transported the man to UofL Hospital. Authorities say he was alert and conscious and expect him to survive.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit will be handling this investigation. There are currently no known suspects.
