1 person shot in Park Hill neighborhood, LMPD investigating

The victim is expected to survive his injuries, police said.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is in the hospital after a shooting in the Park Hill neighborhood on Thursday.

The Louisville Metro Police Department's Second Division responded to the shooting in 1800 block of West Lee Street around 4:30 p.m. Police said it appears he was shot near Woodland Avenue and Temple Street.

Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. 

He is expected to survive his injuries, police said.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation.
