LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman was shot and pronounced deceased inside a New Albany residence early Saturday morning.
According to a New Albany police news release, officers discovered a woman deceased from a gunshot wound upon arrival at the 130 block of Village Drive.
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Kaitlyn Lee of New Albany and was transported to the hospital.
The new release says Joshua K Thompson, 25, of New Albany has been charged with murder.
New Albany police say the preliminary investigation determined the suspect and victim knew each other and had a preexisting relationship.
The case remains under investigation.
