LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police have arrested a man they say shot and killed one man and injured two others on Bardstown Road in July of this year.
In a post on social media, Louisville Metro Police said it arrested 26-year-old Frank Jones III on Thursday. He's charged with murder and assault.
Jones is being held on a $1 million bond, and he will be placed on home incarceration if it's posted.
Police were called to the 1500 block of Bardstown Road around 3 a.m. on July 31, 2023, outside the Afrokanza Lounge.
When they arrived, police said they found three people, two men and a woman, who had been shot.
While all three of them were taken to the hospital, officers said one of the men, 31-year-old Ricky Kemp, died from his injuries.
The shooting prompted city leaders to adjust the noise ordinance and take other action in an effort to curb violence in the area.
