Police: Man charged in connection with July shooting at W. Louisville nightclub

Police have charged 26-year-old Kevon Taylor for the July 19 shooting at Cole's Place.
Kevon Taylor has been charged in the July 29 shooting at Cole's Places as well as more than 100 other charges.

LOUISVILLE, Ky (WHAS11) -- Police have charged 26-year-old Kevon Taylor for the July 19 shooting at Cole's Place.

The incident started at a local nightclub called Cole's Place. Crystal Teasley was holding a birthday party for her 21-year-old son Kendall when a man walked in around 3 a.m. and opened fire. More than eight people were struck by gunfire, including a pregnant woman and her unborn child who was delivered immediately after the shooting. Luckily, no one was killed.

According to the police report, Kevon Taylor was arrested on July 27 for a charge of engaging in organized crime and more than 112 charges of criminal possession of forged instruments. He has only been recently charged in that shooting at Cole's Place as well with more than eight counts of assault. 

Taylor will appear in court Sep. 21.
