LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Kentucky man is behind bars after leading police on a short pursuit in Nelson County.
According to the Nelson County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was attempting a traffic stop on Highway 150 just after midnight Sunday when a driver was traveling 89 mph in a 55-mph zone.
Police said 42-year-old Inca Calcine of Liberty, Kentucky failed to stop and continued west onto the Bluegrass Parkway.
KSP assisted the deputy by deploying spike strips near the 3-mile marker.
The pursuit came to an end and Calcine was taken into custody.
He faces multiple charges including fleeing and evading police, wanton endangerment, reckless driving, resisting arrest, no registration and failure to produce an insurance card.
Calcine is currently housed at the Nelson County Corrections Center.
