LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Shelbyville woman will spend more than three years in a federal prison after she was convicted for defrauding her former employer.

Amy Hall, 38, was charged with seven counts of wire fraud.

Hall was an employee of a Louisville construction and design company. The Department of Justice said she used her position and access to steal $262,897.60 that she used for her personal benefit and others by using the company’s bank account, a related company’s bank account and a company credit card.

Prosecutors said Hall used these methods without the companies’ knowledge or authorization.

Hall must pay restitution to the two companies in the amount she stole.

She will have to serve out the full sentence since there is no parole in the federal system.
