Shively Police make 2 arrests in relation to deadly September shooting

According to authorities, 34-year-old Louis Jones and 25-year-old Clarnesha Taylor called the victim's mother demanding money.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Shively Police have arrested two people in relation to a fatal shooting that happened in late September.

Police said officers were called to the Watterson Expressway off-ramp to Dixie Highway around 3:15 a.m. on Sept. 29. When they arrived, police said officers found a man laying in the road who had been shot. 

He later died at the hospital investigators said.

According to authorities, 34-year-old Louis Jones and 25-year-old Clarnesha Taylor called the victim's mother minutes before the shooting and demanded money.

Taylor told police Jones and the victim got into a fight when she heard a gunshot. 

Shively Police said Jones got into a vehicle with Taylor and she drove them away.

Both Jones and Taylor were found on Friday in a vehicle registered to the victim according to authorities.

Jones is charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and Taylor is charged with complicity to murder.
